Osamu Okamura serves as a member of many architectural and urban planning competition juries, recently the Czech Pavilion EXPO 2025: Architectural Design (2023), Monument to the Prague Uprising and the Redesign of Interbrigády Square in Prague 6 competition (2024), New Aleš South Bohemian Gallery competition (2024), or the Open Budějovice Budvar competition (2024).

Public Service as a Jury Member
On October 12, 2023, an architectural exhibition titled “Czech Pavilion EXPO 2025: Architectural Designs” commenced at the National Museum in Prague. 🇨🇿🇯🇵 This showcase of contemporary Czech architecture presented visitors with all 38 architectural designs that competed in March 2023 for the unique opportunity to design the national pavilion for the upcoming World EXPO that is scheduled to take place from April to October 2025 in Ósaka, Japan. Osamu Okamura was honored to serve as a member of the highly prestigious architecture competition jury.
The internationally renowned architect Eva Jiřičná chaired the expert jury. Other members included Balazs Bognar, a partner at the renowned architectural studio Kengo Kuma & Associates, and Jozef Kabaň, Chief Designer of an automotive company. Also Markéta Smrčková, architect, Jan Kasl, the Chairman of the Czech Chamber of Architects, Martin Wichterle, founder of the Czech Industrial Design Association, and Ondřej Soška, the General Commissioner of the Czech participation. The jury had extra members and expert advisors who provided valuable insights throughout the process. These included Osamu Okamura, Kristina Magasanikova, René Kühn, Adam Gebrian, Radek Špicar, Aleš Kysela, and Rafaella Broft.
